Beer Hall Lecture Series | All Round Table discussions are at Lucky Labrador on Quimby here in Portland, OR | All Events are free unless otherwise noted | All events are open to subscribers, practitioners, students and scholars. CM-DB will be buying the first 30 people in the door their first pint! Please RSVP to let us know if you will be attending. |
| | - These events are about bringing scholars, practitioners, and students together to talk about the Classics in an informal setting.
- Each event has a "proctor" which will moderate our discussion.
- The proctor will decide the topic beforehand, and the topic will then be posted here.
- Attendees are encouraged to prepare themselves on the subject matter, and even bring passages that they would like to discuss.
- The proctor will introduce the subject, and may even give a small lecture on the subject. Then we will open for discussion and questions.
- The events themselves are free, and the first 30 people in the door will have their frist beer on us.
- We intend this to be a fun, informal gathering, that utilizes the resources of all the people in our local area who are interested in the study of the Classics, to create more of an understanding in these topics.
If attendees want food or more beer, then they will pay for that themselves. |
